so... i didn't have a clear grasp on the idea, more so just letting myself creating whatever i wanted when i was shooting (a fancier way of making it up as i go along) so i kinda came around to the conceptualization of death within a triptych (because i love this format). anyways, i like how she's hidden in the blue and almost giving up in it's grasp even though there is white light right around the corner. she is then stripped of warmth (scarf, red color) and draped in only blue, clothing and against the blue wall. she is also exposed to the cold. the last has no color and shows her grasping death in it's form, almost forcing the skull to look into the camera. now i know this might seem very dark but i actually really like how it turned out. i hope this works.

i actually somewhat like this - fun fact this was a "one-shot" photo that i usually never get - this coloring is a different style but i'm trying to make my editing less basic and get more of a range of tones across my work (that sounded very poetic but in reality i just looked at my old look and was horrified by my editing)

The theme "Searching for Home" is a personal piece. I wanted to represent how my mom was able to leave her home in Olympia, Washington, and travel down the coast to Marin for college. This is her home away from home, where she is happiest. Through these photographs, I wanted to represent the motion and journey she took to go to Marin.

For this DIY, I wanted to create the classic Aquacades shot of the incoming Senior Class. It is on every planner that the students get at the beginning of the year, so I wanted to recreate it since I was taking photos at Aquacades.
